Born and raised in China, Yiqin (pronounced ee-ching) Fu spent many of her formative years in the U.S. and the U.K. She now works as a Research Associate at Yale Law School’s Paul Tsai China Center in New Haven, Connecticut, after having received a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford. This fall, she will be a PhD student in political science at Stanford University.
Yiqin is broadly interested in media and public opinion, gender identity, and comparative political and electoral systems. Her writing is seen in Bloomberg, Foreign Policy, The Atlantic, and the Financial Times’ Chinese edition.
In her free time, Yiqin codes in Python and R to tell data stories. She keeps a blog in Chinese and reposts select content in English on this site.
